ไข่มุกอะโกยา (Akoya Pearl)

อะโกย่า (Akoya) (พบในญี่ปุ่นและจีน) 

อะโกย่าเป็นไข่มุกชั้นดีที่พบในญี่ปุ่นเป็นไข่มุกที่แวววาวที่สุด เมื่อเทียบกับไข่มุกชนิดอื่น ๆ ที่พบได้ ไม่กี่ปีมานี้ ประเทศจีนประสบความสำเร็จ ในการเพาะเลี้ยงไข่มุกอะโกย่าในน่านน้ำจีน แต่ไข่มุกที่เลี้ยงได้ในประเทศจีนในด้านคุณภาพและความแวววาว ยังด้อยกว่าไข่มุกอะโกย่าญี่ปุ่น

มุกขาวทะเลใต้ (White South Sea)

ไข่มุกขาวทะเลใต้เติบโตในภูมิประเทศแบบทรอปิคอล ร้อนชื้นและแบบกึ่ง ทรอปิคอลในแถบ ออสเตรเรีย, พม่า, อินโดนิเซียและประเทศในแถบแปซิฟิค มีขนาดตั้งแต่ 10 มม. จนถึง 20 มม. ด้วยราคาค่อนข้างสูงเพราะค่อนข้างหาได้ยากและมีขนาดใหญ่

White South Sea Pearl (Found in Australia, Burma, Indonesia and the Philippines).

ไข่มุกตาฮิติเป็นมุกขนาดค่อนข้างใหญ่ที่พบในหมู่เกาะโพลีนีเชีย ประเทศฝรั่งเศส เป็นมุกที่มีความสวยงามและมีสีสันที่พิเศษคือสีเทาอ่อน สีดำ จนไปถึงสีเขียวและสีม่วง ด้วยขนาดและสีสันที่แปลกแตกต่าง ทำให้มุกตาฮิติมีราคาสูงมาก

ไข่มุกมาบิคือไข่มุกครึ่งซีกที่เติบโตอยู่กับเปลือกหอยมุก มันจะไม่เติบโตอยู่ในตัวหอยมุก จึงทำให้มีลักษณะเป็นเพียงครึ่งซัก เหมาะที่จะนำมาทำต่างหูและแหวนที่ด้านหลังแบนและเรียบ

Mabe (Found in Japan, Indonesia , Polynesian Islands, and Australia).
